The best Casterboard is the TimberWolf XtreeM. Unlike many casterboards, it can go in either direction, making more tricks possible. Among those tricks are shuv-its, reverts, Fakies, 180's 540s, 900s etc...
The TW is made from cold pressed Maple and the torsion bar is fiberglass/UMHW. Because of this, the TW bends and can generate much more speed in Vert (bowls and ramps). This also gives it "pop" for street tricks.
With plastic casterboards, if a part breaks, you need to buy a whole new casterboard. TW is modular like a skateboard; meaning you can swap and upgrade decks, torsion bars, casters and all other parts.
It also has different lifters that can be put in to customize the ride. #1 lifters for speed, #3 lifters for spins and maneuverability and #2 lifter for in between.

well there are the hi tide caster boards which aren't good at accelerating, the vigor caster board, and the original ripstik which is the best due to its kick tail and nose tail, easy acceleration and well turning. I'd get the ripstik.
