if ur looking to do do lots of fliptricks and street sessioning u definitley want a nice, light but sturdy deck like zero, darkstar,or speed demons (west 49's brand) decks that can do fliptricks too but ull need a little more kick are almost, enjoi, flip, girl and baker. these decks are also good for grinding and riding long distances cuz of how sturdy their build is and how layrerd tehy are. and finally, vert and park skating? PLAN B probs the best brand out there. sturdy, light, with a ton of pop and concaveness-ness(?)
NO CHIRPING! i have tried out almost all tehse types for their uses, and friends and pros have given me advice too

Simply as a measurement: 8.125 is smaller than 8.25
no, they suck, ride a fatter board like an 8 or maybe a 7.75. It makes catching your tricks easier becsase you have a larger surface to catch.
I would use vans or dc shoes for street skating especially if you are wanting to get serious about it. also nike makes a good street shoe. but it is really what is comfortable with you and what you are comfortable skating in. but all these shoes have a different grip so pick the one that you really are comforable skating in.
Yes, you should get a range from 53-56mm for street.
Yes, no doubt.
Not really...get krooked or girl
no you can get them for 99 @ skates.com
Pioneer makes some good dual-deck VCR's that are excellent for double-VCR movies.
well, first you should go to your local skateshop and buy either a complete deck or, get everything separate then start practicing!! Good Luck!!!
There are a lot of good brands of skateboards i.e. Chocolate, Girl, Zero, Real, Anti-Hero, Roger, Stereo, Given, Agents In Red. Bad brands i.e. World Industries, Enjoi, Darkstar,Almost, Blind several of these brands used to be the best brands but after they got so big they started having their decks made in China to make a larger profit margin....In other words they are sellout brands. But i think its most about personal preference. My favorite is probably Real because they have a very precise inspection process and deeper concave and stiffer wood and glues .
There are quite a few options available if you are looking for figure skating dress. Online sites such as Discountskateware or Worldfigureskateware will provide you with variety of brands, it's also a good idea to check you skating club message board as they might have ads of local independent retailers.
