You need at least a 3 pack and good muscles. There isusually lots of dance (for girls not Olympic level like level 4 to 10) and at least 3 tumbling passes. Also other stuff that is not dance and tumbling like pretty easy stuff. Also you have 4 events (for girls) that are beam, bars, vault, and floor. All of them are hard. Gymnastics is such a hard sport but very fun too. So if you give it a try you could get good.
If you are really interested in learning to stunt and tumble you should join a local Allstar Cheerleading team, there you will learn the basics of stunting and tumbling and therefore you will be learning from coaches and others who are experienced and you will be in a safe environment and you will be less likely to hurt yourself by going out there and attempting something because someone says on YouTube how easy it is and gives you instructions. So please if you are serious about learning go and get help from a cerftified tumbling coach and a certified cheerleading coach, because stunts and tumbling are not exactly easy nor safe!

Almost every muscle is used in tumbling, but some aren't as much used as the others like your back muscles. your Trapezius and your Latisomous Dorsi
Silicon carbide is the standard grit for tumbling rocks. It's cheap, easy to find, and has no competition. You could substitute crushed garnet, or even beach sand, or try running without grit at all, especially if you're tumbling softer stuff, but I think you'll find it's a waste of time.
