I think the best wheels for sliding would be orangatang durain free rides, stimulus, or fat frees depending on the length of your board and on your weight, Also in heats are good the yellow wheel is the most slidiest from orangatng.

Maybe some Randal 180 mm with 50* baseplates or some Paris trucks in 180 mm.

Yes, but you can't cruise as much. Thats why they invented metro motions. They are soft and slidey so it's good for cruising around town but when you go into a slide it'll be like butter

Bones STF's they wont get flat spots and they last forever! Ive been riding mine for over a year. Their cheap too! Happy skating!
