Personally, for me Skateboarding yes can loose some weight. Ive been skateboarding for 3 years now and yeah ive lost some weight. not intentionally but you lose it mostly in the lower body, hips, thighs, butt, legs.

If you fall and hurt yourself, then not exactly, but besides that it's actually a very good way of getting exercise.
