you will need: tool, razor, griptape and board.
place the giptape on the board (sticky side down)
using the tool, run it on the edges of the griptape to create a white outline.
after you see a white ouline of the board, use the razor to cut off all the extra griptape, (maybe use a file later on)
Enjoy it bro
undo the screws that hold the truck on and then get a lighter and hold on the griptape for 10 seconds and then peel the old griptape off .then put the new grip tape on the top of the board then cut the griptape to shape and then peel the adhesive off and stick it on and then screw the brackets back on and bobs your uncle

grip tape is one of the most important parts to any functioning skateboard. it helps you stay on.
no but it can wear out your shoes
yepp but you can just buy more grip tape and replace it once it starts to wear away.
its easier to wear out your grip tape first slide your grip tape along a wall and it should Peel then get a hairdryer and heat up the peeling grip tape to release the glue then with a sharp knife carefully slide the knife under the grip tape while pressing a hair dying over it
Use a screwdriver or file and wear down the edges of the grip until it can be pulled from the board. This is how I gripped all my boards for my first ten years of skating.
I am not entirely sure about which grip tape you should go with. the best thing for you to do is go to olympia sports or another facility that specializes in skateboards.
I have used spraypaint and paint pens on my grip. There is no loss or peeling of the grip... It just paints like canvas, or concrete... or paper.
As long as there is grip tape and a end that is bent up its possible
I arnt exactly sure but I think it was first used In 1984
To put grip tape on a board you must first take the tape off of the plastic/wrapper. Then you put it on your board try not to get any air bumps. Then cut off the extra tape on the sides with a knife or maybe scissors. take some of the extra grip tape and file down the edges. Then take your screws for the trucks and push them through the holes. After that just attach the trucks, wheels, bearings, risers, and hardware and you're good to thrash.
the grip tape in the black sand paper on top of the deck. (The deck is the wood part of the board)
