Well, Sooner or later your soles of your shoe are going to wear down no matter what, But to slow down the process try not to Slide your foot across the floor while Skateboarding to slow yourself down, Learn to drag your tail of the skateboard, but maybe at times you will have to use your foot to slow down, I Woldnt be too worried about it though :)

Unfortunately, shoes take a heavy beating during a good skate session. Make sure your shoes are tied properly, as to avoid any unnecessary movement. If you can't land a trick, try your best to land flat on your feet if close to the ground (rather than moving and scraping the shoes up), or landing on a fleshy part of your body when higher up. Of course, it helps if you have a pair of shoes specifically made for skateboarding. A pair of Vans or DCs will do, maybe order some other brand from a CCS catalog (if they're still around).

In the end, shoes will eventually wear down. No shoe lasts forever, so make sure to be good to them.

shoe goo the ollie area before you skate. this will prevent the shoe from wearing a hole but it will not protect your laces, but laces are cheap anyway.

there is not a way to 100% prevent from happening but to make it happen slower get cup sole shoes and not vulcanized soles cause cup sole skate shoes are way more durable
