they are not supposed to be waxed because when you try to remove it with a wax comb or a scraper it can damage the foam, although you can wax it i find them quite slippy !
Surf wax makes your board or whatever sticky so surf wax is for sticking. Curb wax is normally used for sliding with grinds, so it's slippery. Surf wax = sticky Curb wax = slippery
i didnt know there was wax for boards i use candle wax when grinding and stuff tho
Why make it? Go to your local skateshop and buy some, or you can use candle wax.
You use skateboard wax to grind on stuff like curbs on sidewalks or handrails or rails. You rub the wax on the spot of the rail or curb that you want to grind on, and if you really want an effective "grind" you can rub the wax onto your trucks. Keep in mind that the more wax you put on the more slippery it will be.
On the top - to make the surface less slippery.
the first wax was a candle
Surfers wax their surfboards to create traction and grip on the board's surface, not to reduce friction. The wax provides a better grip for the surfer's feet, allowing them to maintain control and prevent slipping while riding waves.
No
its something candles are made of to make obstacles like rails easier to grind
Surfers apply wax to surfboards to create traction between their feet and the board, preventing slips during riding. The wax provides a grippy surface that enhances control and stability while maneuvering on the waves. Additionally, different types of wax can be used depending on water temperature to ensure optimal performance.
I'm sure there are different kinds of wax that will work better than skate wax, but any wax is going to work better than none. So I say Yes, do it!
To be stupid, one is cold and the other is warm, but to be smart the cold wax may be stiffer and harder to spread, while the warm wax will be easier to spread but more slippery. If you use wax a lot try just use sing it at room temperature. It should work! ;)
