However, in 2004, the record was held by Asafa Powell, who had set a time of 9.77 seconds on June 14, 2005. Bolt would later go on to break Powell's record multiple times in subsequent years.

Asafa Powell C.D (born 23 November 1982, in Spanish Town, Jamaica) is a Jamaican sprinter and the son of two ministers. He previously held the 100 metres World Record between June 2005 and May 2008, with times of 9.77 and 9.74 seconds respectively. Powell also ran the anchor leg of the gold medal winning and World Record setting, Jamaican men's 4 x 100 metres relay at the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing. His personal best time in the 100 m of 9.72 seconds, is also the joint second-fastest time in the history of the event.

There was no Olympiccompetition in 2006, but I suspect that was a typo, in the 2008 Olympics however Usain Bolt won the 100 meters, and 200 meters in world record times 9.69 sec and 19.30 seconds respectively. 100 meter time broke his team mate Osafa Powell's world record which was 9.74, and Michael Johnson's 200 meter world and Olympic record which was 19.32 from the 1996 Atlanta Olympics. Usain Bold was also apart of the world and Olympic record breaking 4 x 100 meter relay.

I jumped 1,601 consecutive times on my pogo stick. I was trying to beat the world record of 1,187. I jumped 1,000 with my friend and I had 1 mistake I am still trying to break my record and the world record
