It is said that man has a built in function to live, and not just exist. Anybody can exist. It takes motivation to live. There are two types of motivation; intrinsic and extrinsic. Intrinsic is that motivation that comes from within. Extrinsic comes from around you. It could be as simple as an incentive or as harsh as, "If you don't do this, then you will die." Motivation is essential because it gets you started. It helps a baby learn how to take that first step. It teaches a child how to not give up after that first B. It tells an adult that everybody has to get rejected sometime. It keeps you moving. It makes that baby keep walking, or that adult to keep searching for a job. Motivation plays an important role in everything that needs to be learned and anything that can lead to success.
