Hyper-extended legs have a good side, and a bad side. First, the bad side (sorry haha) the bad side is that if they are too hyper-extended, a lot of tension can build up in your knees and that makes it painful to bend and straighten or have your leg straight for a long period of time. Over hyper-extended legs can also increase your chances of breaking or stress fracturing which can lead to breaking. You have to be careful and take good care of your knees if you have hyper-extends.

Modern ballet focuses on natural movement and traditional ballet has more stricter rules.
