They are not very collectible. As with all automatic fly reels, their popularity peaked 50 years ago. Most fly fishermen find them too heavy and bulky, and there are still many more of these reels out there than demand for them.
I just purchased one in good condition for $9 a week ago. Exceptionally clean pieces with original boxes and documentation can command $50 or more on a good day, but most used examples will bring between $5 and $15.

The Elizabethan theater was used for many of Shakespeare's plays.
American collectors would call that U.S. Scott number 1250. It has a catalog value of 20 cents, mint or used.

New this reel costs $100.00. Used, depending on what shape the reel is in and how much its been used could be worth $25 on up. If the reel has been used numerous times the drag could be worn out or the ball bearings could need lubrication. Find out what you can before buying the reel to evaluate what the value to you is. i have seen them at eBay for up to $60.00 used. Good luck!
A Centrepin reel is used for fishing. It is simply an oversized large arbor fly reel that rides on bearing spaces and plays fish without the use of mechanical drag.

Fishing line wrapped around a stick is effective, but a real reel is much more convenient. This reel of film has a real neat topic.
Hi, Open reel tapes are equivelent to tapes like used on the older reel to reel tape recorders. They used to have open reel tapes for audio and video recorders. Many are still in use today. Open reel tapes had to be hand threaded through the tape transport whereas a cassette tape is self contained and the transport handles all the unloading and loading functions. Hope this helps, Cubby
The gear you mentioned can be used in several ways. For salt-water, it can be used as a trolling stick or for rockfishing (targeting fish several hundred feet down. Alternately, you can chase larger freshwater fish - such as catfish - in lakes that have these fish.
I have seen that oil sell for as much as 100,000. US dollars in auction. For a mint bottle for a used bottle in decent condition it could fetch you up to 15000 USD to the right buyer. They dont make reel oil like they used to!
