What is the story line of the talisman ballet girls solo variation?

The Ballet "The Talisman" is set in India. Niriti, daughter of the Queen of Heaven, descends to Earth to experience life as a human, and her mother gives her a star from her crown to act as a talisman, to enable her to return to Heaven. A young Indian Prince falls in love with Niriti, and steals the talisman from her, in a bid to keep her on Earth. Niriti appears to him in his dreams, begging him to return the talisman, and eventually he relents and gives it back to her, and she sadly returns to Heaven, leaving the Prince behind - for of course she has also fallen in love with him! The girl's variation is usually taken from the dream or vision scene. The main boy's part is Niriti's attendant who is assigned by her mother to protect her whilst she is on Earth, but is led astray into drinking with the Prince's entourage. That's the bare bones of the story - of course it is padded out with the exotic royal entourage, and also the scene in Heaven.
