No, not at all. Misty Copeland started a bit late too and still made it professionally. However, you will have to work a lot harder if this is really what you want to do. Don't let anyone get you down or make you believe you can't do it. One dancer's teacher said that she wasn't good enough, but she still became a professional dancer. I recommend taking privates if you can afford them; they eliminate peer pressure and the teacher only focuses on you and you progress faster. Also even if you are really exhausted during a combination, unless you are about to faint or something, DON'T stop doing it. You will progress a lot faster.
