How many hours do dancers have to dance?

Well this answer really just depends on what company you dance with, if you dance professionally, etc. I dance with a company although it is not profession and we do not get paid. We have a 1 and a half hour Ballet class 4 times a week and a 1 hour partnering (pas de deux) class each week. You are supposed to go to class atleast 3 times a week to be able to perfrom with the company. When we have a performance coming up, we have rehearsal (depending on what part(s) you have) generally every Saturday leading up to the performance and the length is usually anywhere from 30 minutes to 2 hours.
