This is because ballet dancers are usually part of a ballet company which is more consistent and stable than other dance jobs. Ballet dancer's steps are generally more technically demanding than other dancers so more skill and practice is required.
Ballet dancers are paid $15,000-$30,000 US dollars on average annually. However this depends on the level of the company and its prestige, and the position you hold in the company. For example, dancers at American Ballet Theatre make more money than dancers at the Portland Ballet Company. Also, principal dancers will make much more than dancers in the corps de ballet.
Ballet dancers and rugby players are strong in different ways. I think that male ballet dancers might be stronger but it's hard to judge
one of the best ballet dancers i think is Darcey Bussell but the are many other bnallet dancers that could and may be better than her =}
King Louis XIV, originator of ballet as a dance and art form, was a male. Male dancers were more common than females when ballet first started.

Absolutely not. Male dancers get paid much better than females because few men want to participate in ballet. If there was more of an up and coming group of male dancers, more of the new ballets would be geared so that both men and women have parts. Pas de deux are nearly always a man and a woman.

Well...most people assume more girls do ballet than guys (Unless you're a guy and go to an all guy ballet studio) but really, there's an almost even number.

Hell yes ballet dancers are stronger. Footbal players are all meat and muscle that isnt true. Ballet dancers also can go on pointe it takes extreme muscle time and effort to do that. Anyone can doggie pile like an idiot but can anyone do a double pirouette on pointe? The answer is no.
I'm not sure for sure. But I'd say so. But Ballet is also a popular style of dance for boys.
ballet has never been only for girls, even though a lot more boys do it than girls. boys do slightly different steps to girls, but do play a major part in almost all ballets (romances...)
