Alexander Roy London Ballet Theatre ceased its activities in December 1999 after 26 years of continuous creation and performing. The company, which was an offshoot, of International Ballet Caravan, formed in 1965, appeared in more than thirty different countries across the globe and gave seasons in London, Paris, Berlin, Geneva and New York as well in towns and cities throughout Europe, Asia, North and South America. Director, Alexander Roy's productions of A Midsummer Night's Dream, The Magic Flute, La Ronde, Figaro,Figaro, Alice, Dreams and Wonderland won the company acclaim throughout the years. Associate Director, Christina Gallea, is presently writing a book to record the company's adventures and achievements, which in the world of unsubsidised theatre are almost unique.
