Leotard: a tight-fitting one-piece garment that covers the torso and is worn especially by dancers and gymnasts.
The law of conservation of angular momentum is obeyed when a ballet dancer extends her hand outward to slow down. By extending her hand, she increases her moment of inertia, which reduces her angular velocity, allowing her to slow down while conserving angular momentum.

iT BEGINS wItH l BuT i DONT REALLY know WHaT iT is rEaLlY cAlLeD tHaNkS Are you talking about a hip alignment belt? These are thin belts, usually a different color than the leotard (so that it stands out), that help a dancer see if her hips are square. The belt would be tilted if the hips were tilted. This can solve many problems in pirrouettes, extensions, etc.
