playing for the paralympic standing hockey team of Canada we have to pay our own way to world championship events up to $3500 depending where the championship is held so we just do it for the experience, for fun and to represent our country. when we premier in the paralympics in 2018 everything is paid as well we will be sponsored and we receive free equipment for our sport and the rest of the money will go towards the development of the team. Aside from that we just do it because like any Canadian who wouldn't take the opportunity to play hockey with the maple leaf on your shirt.
