Why is fishing an important occupation of the people of maldives?

1.) If you're talking about commercial fishing, then obviously for food.

2.) If you're referring to sport fishing, it could be for food, but most of the time it's just for the sheer fun of catching fish. I guess you'd have to try it to find out.
