Some people might say indoors but as long as your not in a very rainy area... I'd suggest using the soft wood furniture outdoors like in a home garden or something. The soft Poplar/Spruce/Pine/Cedar woods blend in wonderfully with whatever it is that you might be growing. Per say vegetables, fruits, or flowers... and it gives you someplace to sit as you admire the hard labor you put into making your garden luxuriously beautiful. good luck...

Does poplar wood float?

Poplar wood has a density of around 420-450 kg/m3, which is less dense than water (1000 kg/m3), so it will float on water. However, the specific gravity of poplar wood can vary depending on the moisture content and the type of poplar, so it's possible to find poplar wood pieces that may not float.
