The impairments in each of these athletic competitions is very different.

Paralympics - for athletes with mobility or vision impairment.

Special Olympics - for athletes with intellectual impairment.

the para-olympics are different to the olympics because the only people who participate in the para-olympics are people with problems whereas in the olympics the people dont have problems
