The duties and responsibilties of officials at a swimming meet vary depending on what type of official you are.If you are a timekeeper you main responsibility is to accurately record the swimmers time in accordance with the procedures set out in the training notes by Swimming NSW.If you are a referee your responsiblities are to make sure that all swimmers are competing on a level playing field ,all following the same rules,eg the different technical aspects of the form strokes of butterfly,breast stroke and backstroke.
