The PanHellenic Games, as the four athletic festivals were called as a whole, encompassed the Olympic, Pythian, Nemeanic, and Isthmian games. Women and non-Greek could not participate. Wrestling, boxing, chariot racing, pankration, and stadium (races around the stadium) were the games competitors competed in. In addition to these events, a pentathlon competition included the stadium, long jump, discus and javelin throw, and wrestling. All competitions except chariot racing were performed in the buff, or nude.
