In the 80 meter hurdles, she won gold in a world record time of 11.7 seconds. In high jump, she set a world record of 1.65 meters (5 feet, 5 inches). In javelin, she threw 43.69 meters (143 feet, 4 inches) which was an Olympic record but short of the world record held by Nan Gindele of the U.S. at 46.745 meters (153 feet, 4 1/4 inches).
