"There is always a flame burning in a little cauldron, that has the flame from when they took it in Greece, so if it goes out, theyll light it with that already burning flame."

I'm not really sure what you mean by cauldron from where it was taken, but modern torches have a pilot light in the bottom with sensory tech so when it detects the flame going out it reignites it. If you want to believe this somehow "breaks" the flame eh so be it, just remember that it reignites it so quick and automatically you can't even tell the flame went out. Especially with the 2010 Winter games torches which feature a houseing unit atop the burner. So the flame actually shoots out multiple directions and sits under this housing to protect it form the wind. Of course because of this you cant see if the burner actually goes out or not. In older models the flame sat atop the torch and could see it. One would think they would just reignite it and keep going. However this is not only a very bad omen but also doesn't sit well with the public. If you want a rule as to what SHOULD happen, then if the flame goes out they are suppose to start the relay over again and start in Olympia, Greece where a backup flame is always there. Put it this way they light the original flame and don't put it out until the stadium cauldron/torch is lit. I would think that the original flame stays lit along with the stadium flame until the games are over but I doubt that. In the end if the flame ever goes out they are suppose to return to Greece to relight it although bureaucrats never follow that path and would just rather relight it before too many find out.

It is put out and the torch is reused each and every Olympic game. I think it's quite fascinating, actually.

This is decided by the Hosting City. For example in 2012 London Olympics, the torch stayed in Olympic City.
