Score the most points combined in each of the 10 events. You get points based on the performance in those events based on an IAAF scoring table currently updated in 1985. To win you need to figure out how to build a body that can sprint, jump and throw weights (among other things) well simultaneously. Usually a winner is an exceptional overall athlete but not necessarily a specialist in any of them. Occasionally a great decathlete can also be a top athlete in a specialty event as well, but that is rare.
