Numbers go to 99. Average team has 125 - 135 players, so 4th - 5th teamers get a repeated number. Sometimes they'll get on the field at a home game.

It is possible for two players on the same College Football team to have the same number if the team has not assigned unique numbers to each player. This could happen due to oversight by the coaching staff or players sharing a preferred number. It is not a common practice and can lead to confusion during games.
