There is forward and backwards movement occuring, at your knee joint, also slight forwards and backwards movemnt occuring at the ankle, which is a sliding joint, a rotation of your hips which are ball and socket joints, flexion at the elbow( hinge joint) when moving arms for power, which also effects the some roation at the ball and socket shoulder joints.

When playing football, joints that are primarily used include the ankle, knee, hip, shoulder, and elbow. These joints are essential for running, jumping, kicking, throwing, and tackling during the game. Strengthening and stabilizing these joints is important to prevent injuries and enhance performance.

The joints in your hip, arms, legs, hands and feet all move in their own way example- arms move by the ball and socket joint which allows 360 degrees rotation. it depends at what sport is taking place to weather the type of joint and synovial joint

the movements at synovial joints produced by the action of skeleton muscle.

when a muscle contracts, fibers within the muscles pull its movable end (insertion) towards its fixed origin (origin), and a movement occurs at joint.

Just about all of your joints are being used, football is a contact sport and for you to run and tackle you are moving your whole body using most of your joints.
