Inonu Stadium located in Istanbul, Turkey is home to soccer club Besiktas JK. During a Champions League match versus Liverpool on October 24, 2007, Besiktas fans, better known as Carsi, were recorded at 132 decibels. This is the highest recorded and documented sound level at a soccer stadium, everything else is hear-say. I was one of the lucky people who witnessed this feat and believe me the whole place was vibrating from the noise. To put the magnitude of the sound into perspective 132 decibels is somewhere between the sound of a jumbo jet taking off in your living room and lightening striking one meter away from you.
The sound becomes harder to hear. Unless you are above the threshold of pain in which case I guess the sound becomes easier to hear. The decibel system was designed so that the thresold of human hearing is just about at 0 dB and the threshold of pain is at about 135dB0. Where the power doubles for every 3 dB points. Hence it is a logarithmic scale. A 20dD sound is not half as loud as a 40dB sound but roughly 100 times quiter.

When carbon dioxide levels decrease in the atmosphere, it can lead to a cooling effect. This is because carbon dioxide is a greenhouse gas that traps heat in the atmosphere. A decrease in carbon dioxide levels could potentially impact climate patterns, biodiversity, and ocean acidity.
That would be the decibel (dB), which is a measurement of how loud something is.Edit: to be more precise, this is what a decibel is from wikipedia. The decibel (dB) is a logarithmic unit that indicates the ratio of a physical quantity (usually power or intensity) relative to a specified or implied reference level. The decibel is commonly used in acoustics to quantify sound levels relative to a 0 dB reference which has been defined as a sound pressure level of .0002 microbar.

Phone amplifiers can go up to 45 decibels, which is very loud. These amplifiers are generally used by people who are hard of hearing. Most amplifier companies sell different decibel levels so you should test out which one works for you.
The maximum range of detection for submarines using sonar varies depending on the decibel level. Higher decibel levels can detect submarines at greater distances compared to lower decibel levels.

In a busy city environment, average decibel levels typically range from 70 to 85 decibels.

The loudest plane in the world is the Boeing 747-400, known for its powerful engines and high noise levels during takeoff and landing. Its noise levels can reach up to around 130 decibels.

A: Dbm or decibel of modulation
Hearing protection is typically required at decibel levels of 85 or higher to prevent hearing damage.

Decibel levels are typically measured using a sound level meter. The meter captures sound pressure levels in decibels (dB). The measurement is usually taken at a specific location and distance from the noise source to determine the intensity of the sound.
Hearing protection can effectively block out decibel levels up to around 30-35 decibels.
