when a tsunami wave hits shallow waters it increases in height....

With normal waves as a wave reaches shallow water the distance between the bottom and surface decreases forces the fast travelling wave to slow down but increase in height once the height of the wave above the waterline is greater than that of the distance between the bottom and surface the wave breaks

As waves move from deep to shallow water, their speed decreases and their wavelength shortens. This causes the wave height to increase, resulting in the wave eventually breaking as it reaches shallow waters.

As the depth of water increases the temperature drops... So if ii go deeper and deeper into the ocean it would get colder & the pressure would increase a lot too... only a few creatures could handle soo much pressure under water..

As depth increases so does pressure; light lessens, temperature drops and the water becomes more dense due to increased salinity. At greater depth ocean life also become more "narrow" of body.

The motion of the particles in a water wave decreases as depth increases because the energy from the wave at the surface losses it's power.

When it gets into shallower water the wave becomes slower but larger in height
