Not really if you were a boy you could be famous and earning millions if your good but if your a woman you can play for your country but wont become famous however this is not in all sports men and women are quite equal in tennis and athletics but soccer and cricket well for women it can be a hobby for men it can be a career.
In all fairness though, exceedingly few women can play near the level of strength and speed of even the lowest paid male athletes. Generally it's the top athletes that make a lot of money and since women don't play at the same level it's not surprising that they don't make as much money.
