Yes they did. They played as part of the "World Series of Rock," which was held in Cleveland Stadium. This was an annual event, that took place from 1974 through 1980, with different bands each year. The Rolling Stones played there twice-- the first time was in June 1975, and then they played there again in July 1978.
Alcatrazz was formed in 1983 by Graham Bonett, Jimmy Waldo, and Gary Shea. Not really successful, they broke up in 1987. They regrouped in 2006, again, with not a lot of popularity.
