Its usually 'Rock and Roll Part 2' by Gary Glitter.( NOTE: Since Glitter has been accused of being involved with child pornography this song is no longer played at NHL arenas.) I think the song this question refers to is "Na Na Na, Hey, Hey, Hey, Kiss Him Good-bye" by a band called Steam. Steam was actually a group of studio musicians who recorded the song in 1969 and had it go all the way to # 1 on the music charts.
