What age do you have to be to buy a crossbow?

There is no age limit to go bow hunting. However, you need to be able to draw at least the minimum draw weight which for white tails is about 40-45lbs. if you are shooting with less then this, it can just injure the animal because there will not be enough force to penetrate far enough to hit vital organs.

You can be any age. I would recommend buying one for people ages 8+ because it is more complex than some other bows.
