Not really. Breathing correctly and finding the best stance for your body type is one aspect of Archery a lot of beginners overlook. When drawing a bow and setting up your shot, you WANT your elbow to be slightly bent and make sure your not gripping the riser like a fist. You want the handle to cradle the web of your hand so the bow can follow through after you release. Tensing your arm and hand can cause you to 'torque' your shot, which will mess up your consistency. Another reason you want your arm bent and fairly relaxed is it puts a little more space between you and the string. You do not want the string to catch any part of your body when shooting.. it will kill your shot and paint some beautiful colors of pain on the inside of your arm. Not fun. As for stance, breathing, and what to do with your release hand, everybodys a little different. Search for 'archery stances' and you'll have a good starting point
