Illinois has many lakes that you can bowfish in and has a few that you can spearfish in. Get a fishing digest and read the site specific information on each lake to find out which ones allow it. As for flooded ditches I think that you can, but you may want to call a game warden to find out for sure.

Why is the first section of fugitive pieces called Drowned city?

This is because of how the place where Jakob grew up was always being flooded, and archaeologists like Athos were finding many artifacts that had been preserved in the mud from all the flooding. So it is evidence from the prehistoric cities and the constant flooding that gave the title 'The Drowned City.'

Was there a flood in 2006 in schuylkill haven pa?

Yes, there was a flood in Schuylkill Haven in 2006. I am from haven and luckily my house was not flooded. The flood was from all the rain that the area got. The first day of flooding occured on a couple streets, then overnight, they had to drain the Tumbling Run Resevoir, which caused even more flooding as the Schuylkill River overflowed.

How did pioneers hunt?

They used a fishing pole and hook if there was a river or stream. The plains has little water so fishing wasn't used often. They mainly had to worry about crossing streams with a wagon rather than fishing. Many lost everything they owned in flooded rivers.

How do you water your crops in SimFarm?

You dig irrigation channels alongside the crop, and link it to a water source (such as a pump, or windmill). Note that the amount of water supplied is variable so if you only use windmills and have very little groundwater, you can easily run out. Use water towers to have a backup supply. Water will flow across ditches (unless there's a valve and it's off). The more watered ditches directly touching the crop, the more water it receives. Use valves to reduce the amount touching. You may need to adjust this depending on the weather. Also, empty ditches will drain a crop. So if a crop with no irrigation is still flooded, use empty ditches to drain and reduce the rainfall, or grow different crops.
