They never went out, Michael asked Jordan to be in his music video Jam, a great publicity stunt, and a way for Michael Jackson to out do himself once again, he always strived to make his music video be better than the last, and he wanted Jordan because he was the greatest bball player during that time. A legend even to today, and Michael well he's the King of Pop, so the combo of the two was meant for the sole purpose of making a great collaboration between two greats. Neither were gay, Michael Jordan was married, Michael Jackson was married, but because of a lot of damaging events in his childhood he really didn't trust too many people.

Michael Jackson saw his father openly fling his infidelity around with no remorse, even having a child with a groupie, while he was still married to Michael's mother, it deeply bruised Michael, especially when he started seeing his married brothers have illicit affairs, while they would be touring. He saw them as turning into his father, who at this point was starting to build up a resentment against him.

He also had suffered from Vitiligo and Lupus, which can tend to go hand and hand. The two were autoimmune diseases, which the body attacks its own immune system. Vitiligo causes the skin to become depigmentated, especially on areas of the skin that are exposed increasingly to sunlight. These areas often include the area around the mouth, eyes, lips, nose, hands, genital area, rectal area, armpits, etc. The skin begins to have blotches of white, albino patches. It is more noticeable on people of color than on people of fairer skin tones, but still equally affects both groups. Lupus can show itself in many forms, one form in which Michael Jackson suffered from Cutaneous Lupus Erythematosus, which causes a red rosy rash shaped like a disk over the cheeks and the bridge of the nose. Hair falling out in clumps, changes in skin pigment or color of the skin occurs too.

What is important to remember is that Michael Jackson was in his 20s when he was diagnosed with these two debilitating diseases, and it was something you really cannot control only medicate and lessen the affects. What is important to remember is that with Vitiligo, go look up pictures, you look like a Dalmatian, or a leper, having those two diseases would of made anyone hesitant, and shy to date, or be completely romantic with anyone, those are two self esteem killers, and make insecurities about dating very real.
