Rosen hit an even .300, while belting 24 homers and driving in 102 runs for the Tribe, who were swept by the New York Giants in the World Series that was highlighted by Willie May's over the shoulder catch in deep center field in the Polo Grounds off a drive by Indians' first baseman Vic Wertz that many claimed was the turning point of the Series. When we played, it referred to throwing the ball around all the infield bases; example; after a player is thrown out at first base; the first baseman will often then throw it to the 3rd baseman upon completion of the play; then the 3rd baseman to the 2nd baseman and the 2nd baseman to the shortstop.
