Archie, Peyton and Eli Manning have all played football just about forever. Papa Archie was a star in Drew, Mississippi (he also excelled in baseball) and was an immediate hit at Ole Miss when he became the starting quarterback as a sophomore. He was twice a Heisman Trophy runner up and went on to become the first draft choice of the New Orleans Saints in 1971. As for sons Peyton and Eli, they both prepped at Isidore Newman High School in New Orleans. Both played quarterback for the Greenies. Peyton attended the University of Tennessee and was the 1997 Heisman Trophy runner up. He was the No. 1 pick in the 1998 draft by the Indianapolis Colts. Eli also was a Heisman Trophy runner up at the University of Mississippi. He was a first-round draft pick of the San Diego Chargers, who then traded his rights to the New York Giants.

Reginald Bush II won the 2005 Heisman Trophy, but due to theft, he got it taken away. Some say, the runner-up, Vince Young, should take it, and some say that the University of Southern California should keep their trophy, and that Reggie's heisman should just be taken away.

In 2005, Reggie Bush won the Heisman Trophy. Vince Young was the runner up. But Bush was made to return the trophy because he had accepted gifts from his agent which was not allowed. It was then given to Young fictitiously, by Dennis Dodd who was the past president of the Football Writers Association of America.
