According to wikipedia:
" Sylvester Stallone's original concept for Rocky, and the character Rocky Balboa, was inspired by his viewing of a fight between Muhammed Ali and Chuck Wepner. The idea of an underdog going the distance and putting up a fierce fight against all odds appealed to Stallone. "
Wikipedia also says that the character Apollo Creed was 'loosely' based on Muhammed Ali.

"Ivan Drago" played by Dolph Lundgren .
Rocky Balboa is a fictional boxer played by Sylvester Stallone in the various "Rocky" films. There can be no 'real' drawing as he does not exist.
rocky IV ;)
There was the fiction character, Rocky Balboa, played in five or six films by Sylvester Stallone, who wrote the first Rocky in a desperate attempt to get into movies. There were two other Real-Life Rocky's, one was Rocky Grazzione, the other was Rocky Marcionne (spelt something like that). One of them was a boxer and was played by Paul Newman in the movie Somebody Up There Likes Me. I'm sure there's a lot more Rocky's out there somewhere.
In Rocky and Rocky II the main opponent was Apollo Creed played by actor Carl Weathers.Clubber Lang, played by Mr. T, was the boxer with the nasty attitude in Rocky III, that Rocky digs down deep to defeat.Rocky IV (4) takes Rocky to the land of the Iron Curtain, where both Rocky and Apollo fight Russian powerhouse Drago (Ivan Drago) played by Dolph Lundgren.
