The Canterbury Crusaders Rugby Franchise are part of the Super 14 competition between South African, Australian and New Zealand provincial teams - the crusaders name comes from Canterburys (My home town) long English heritage - the streets are named after English towns/placemarks etcetc - a very christian and English place - also the name Christ Church should give you a hint as to the Crusades.
