He also led the AL in Home Runs in 1960 with 40, he also hit 54 homers in '61, the year Roger Maris hit 61. He also led the A. L. in runs scored in 1960 and '61 and in base on balls in 1961 and '62. And he also led the A. L. in being struck out in 1960, after having that same distinction in 1958 and '59. By the way, Mantle's Yankees team won the A. L. pennant five times in the 1960 and captured two World Series in 1961 and '62.
