The Duckworth Lewis rule or the DL rule is a technique used to decide the winner of a cricket match that could not be completed fully due to a variety of reasons. This rule takes into consideration the target, the current score of the 2nd batting team, the number of wickets lost, the number of runs remaining (to be made) and then comes up with a calculation to decide the prospective winner of a match.
There has been a lot of criticism about this DL rule and many people feel this is not fool proof. One main requirement for this rule is that, both teams must have played atleast 20 overs each

Jack Duckworth was a fictional character from British soap opera Coronation Street who was portrayed by Bill Tarmey between 1979 and 2010.
The Duckworth-Lewis table (named for the English statisticians who invented it) is designed to calculate the final scores of one-innings cricket (usually One Day International or Twenty20) matches in which the chasing team (the one batting second) loses its opportunity to bat on an equal footing with the first team, usually on account of bad weather. It attempts to extrapolate the likely outcome based on how the chasing team actually performed at the time.
Jack Duckworth was played by Bill Tarmey. He first appeared in Coronation Street in November 1979, and was in the show until his death in November 2010.
Terry Duckworth is an occasional character who has been played by Nigel Pivaro.
Tommy Duckworth from Coronation Street's real name is Chris Fountain.
