Actually they are about the same. The real question is what are you trying to accomplish. By adding either one to your oil you are actually making your engine oil about the same consistency as gear oil. Modern oils have all the additves in them that are necessary for good performance. Both of these products are only really worthwhile if your engine is severly worn out and then they are not really all that effective. Spend your money on any qaulity motor oil. I personally like Valvoline but all ASE approved motor oils are good. By the way the little tricks like showing you that Lucas or Slick 50 won't run off your cylinders at night are just foo foo magic. If it runs out of the bottle it will run off you pistons and rings. Any oil will remain well enough to prevent start up damage. Having said all that if you are storing an engine for a long period a teaspoon of either in the spark plug hole will help save your engine from locking up. Also Lucas has a very good Power Steering and transmission leak product. Good luck
With the roof closed, Lucas oil Stadium is climate controlled meaning they have AC in summer and heat in winter--it'll probably be close to room temperature, think about it--whenever you see Colts games on TV people are wearing t-shirts and look more than comfortable. Probably around 50 or 65 degrees, depending on how long the roof has been shut and how much heat they will use .lucasoilstadium.9f.com/

Most likely no. I have had occasional luck with Slick 50 Automatic Transmission treatment but only sometimes. Its worth a try and sometimes it works
It is not recommended to mix Slick 50 with oil. Slick 50 is an additive that needs to be added on its own to the engine oil, following the manufacturer's directions. Mixing it directly with oil can alter its effectiveness and potentially harm your engine.
Slick 50 can be used with any weight of oil. We have used it for years, and a very good product.Im however not to sure about the synthetic oils if you are using them.
May need a valve job or, the lifters might need adjusting. I have heard that lifter noise is a common problem. From day one I have put in slick 50 every 3 oil changes. I put 5w-20w synthetic oil in every time. Also Lucas oil treatment, when I don't put in the slick 50. Runs quite as a baby. 362K and still going strong.
you could if you want but I prefer lucas transmission fix.
I've been using 5W-30 with a litre of Slick 50 for 235,000 and it runs well. I change oil and filter every 4,000.

Chicago Bears rookie Matt Forte with a 50 yard run.
No it will not. There is something wrong.
if there are no unusual noises coming from your engine, it may just be a bad sensor.(if theres no noise in engine there's proper lub). You may want to read this. http://www.ftc.gov/opa/1996/07/slick.shtm I have spoken tomechanics that have seen Slick 50 still in the bottom of the oil pan too thick to be pumped by the oil pump. Good luck.
Saturn recommends 5W30. But I put 10W30 in my 2002 Saturn SL2 now that it has higher mileage, and it runs like a gem. I use Quaker State High Mileage (with Slick 50) to give it additional lubrication.
Put slick 50 in the oil and don't worry about it. Painfully, the motor's got to be lifted, unbolt the motor mounts and try to keep the swearing to a dull roar.
