You are allowed one 750ml bottle of alcohol. You should declare this at the border once the agent askes if you have any "alcohol, tobacco, or firearms." Always declare it; it's not worth the penalties if you don't. Here's an example of what could happen. If you fail to declare the alcohol and you get searched, your car will be stripped down, (sometimes down to the frame), along with your belongings, (no, you will not be naked...but if you fail to declare and they catch you with something, you've now given them reason to assume that you are smuggling in other illicit substances. So, declare, they may search you anyway, but it will most likely be the quick 15 minute stop and peak through rather than the hours long search followed by the penalties that you'll have to pay.
