This is not a question about France. Fjords are Norwegian (and other Scandinavian) inlets of the sea - some small bays ('bukt') and some strikingly craggy 800m high canyons going inland over 30 miles The fjord pony (not horse) is a small tan brown beast with a standing mane in a lighter hue. They usually trot at speed rather than canter when ridden and are not entirely unlike Shetland ponies in build and size ( though usually a little less pot-bellied). See also Icelandic ponies which were also likely to be derived from those used by the Viking. - ....or were you seeking a detailed genetic analysis and comparison....?

No ,A pony is a small breed of horse,a donkey is a dfferant species.
A horse and a pony are basically the same thing with a few conformation differences and they are also divided by height. A horse is 14.3 hands high and up while a pony is 14.2 hands and below. A donkey or Burro is a type of Equid that is related to horses but has a slightly different genetic makeup. A mule is a cross between a male donkey and a female horse and the offspring tend to be sterile as they are hybrids.
donkeys are about the size between a cow and a goat, mammoth donkeys on the other hand are as big as a horse
