The F1 Singapore Grand Prix is held in the evening because to satisfy the European audience ,which is a big territory for F1 (so the race would be broadcasted live in the afternoon through out Europe) and also Bernie Ecclestone wants to experiment with evening races with the potential to add more evening races in the future, Australian GP for an example.
