Nascar easaly makes more money, Plus it is the most popular Sport. NASCAR of course, it just so many teams, in all the series, and takes a lot of cash to keep the cars moving, a lot of money is involved in racing, that's what it takes to git r done.
It's not a fair comparison. Put one baseball game on tv in one city and a Nascar race in the same city, Nascar would bring in more out-of-towners, generate more revenue for that city & state, and Nascar out-seats MLB, Nascar has more TV viewers. Let's be real in our comparisons.AnswerProbably MLB in most US cultures. however in the southern region statistics have shown racing sports to be more popularUPDATE!Since the late nineteenth century, baseball has been regarded as the national sport; football, basketball, and ice hockey are the country's three other leading professional team sports. College football and basketball also attract large audiences. Football is now by several measures the most popular spectator sport in the United States.[207] Boxing and horse racing were once the most watched individual sports, but they have been eclipsed by golf and auto racing, particularly NASCAR.Click on the link below
"Nascar is committed to making the sport - on and off the racetrack - look like America. No other issue is more important to Nascar's success and growth."
A few years ago sports illustrated did a piece where they travled to all 50 states and asked a certain amount of people what sport was most popular and football was the winner almost every time.
The Most watched Sport in the World is Soccer Following by Hockey and basketball
Although being touted as "America's favorite past-time" baseball is not the #1 sport in the U.S. Too many scandals, and lack of starpower could be to blame for the downfall of the once highly regarded sport. According to national ratings, it would actually be nascar. Lets keep it to basic team sports though. The NFL is, for now, the most watched and regarded U.S. sport. With basketball gaining international popularity, it is only a matter of time before it is our next #1 sport. The TV ratings clearly reflect that.
Nascar! for every logo on a cup car you see, brings the race teams money! a small logo (hard to see) brings up to thousands of dollars! the larger logos bring in tens of thousand! and the primary sponsors pay millions! pga has very few notable sponsors! Nascar is the largest fan based sport in the USA, more than football, baseball, hockey and basketball! but NOT more than the WWE, but pro wrestling is not considered a sport, for it is a scripted athletic entertainment with no competition!
Is nascar more popular than football? no i say.
Professional Bicycling is the most watched sport in the world based on the number of people who watch it but I am unsure how many "games" or races occur within each year.
Considered by some as a sport but not all, the Nascar Circut draws more in attendance than any other competitive sport. American football is second, followed closely (due to the length of the season) is baseball.
