Nowadays a driver definitely needs a drafting partner at Talladega and Daytona if they want to succeed. Jeff Gordon and Dale Earnhardt Jr. are the two current winningest drivers at Talladega.

The last four seasons have been dominated by the drivers of Richard Childress Racing and Roush Fenway Racing (this includes the 2013 victory of David Ragan running RFR equipment provided to Front Row Motorsports).
